Please read these rules and the terms and conditions of the competition before posting any entries. All article entries must:

  1. Be an original work, written by the entrant for the purposes of this competition

  2. Must not contain any copyright infringements

  3. Be written in English

  4. Contain content focusing on or relating directly to the medieval period of any country in some way (entries should approximately focus on the years between 500-1500 A.D.)

  5. Include the following information: author's real name, valid author e-mail address, and accurate citation information (including a works cited or bibliography page) whenever necessary and/or appropriate to properly credit source information for article content

  6. Contain between 500 and 1500 words total, not including required entry information (name, e-mail address, citations, works cited/bibliography)

  7. Be posted to the 'Contest Submissions' forum of the Shadowed Realm Medieval Forums before 12:00 a.m. (CST) on Thursday, September 1st, 2005

  8. Follow these rules, or they the entry will be disqualified
