Alaric II
Alaric II (d. 507) King of the Visigoths (r.c.485 - 507).
Son and successor of Euric (dc.485). Alaric's adherence to Arianism gave Clovis I, the King of the Franks, an excuse to attack in the name of orthodoxy. Defeated and killed in battle the Visigoths lost all their possessions in Gaul except Septimania.
