Altdorfer
Albrecht Altdorfer(c.1480-1538) was a Bavarian painter, engraver and architect. Born and lived in Ratisbon he became the city architect and a leading burgher.
His painting Battle of Issus was later so admired by Napoleon Bonaparte, that the French Emperor had it hung in his bathroom at St. Cloud.
