Amalaric
Amalaric (c.502-531) King of the Visigoths in Spain. He was the son of Alaric II and grandson of Theodoric II. Amalric came to the throne at the age of five, when his father was killed.
He married Clotilda, the daughter of Clovis, King of the Franks, but the marriage led to religious disputes and a war with his brother-in law Childebert, King of Paris. The Spaniards were defeated in 531 when Amalric was killed.
