Andronicus
Name of four Byzantine Emperors
Andronicus I (c.1110-1185) Byzantine Emperor and grandson of Alexius I. He had Alexius II (his second cousin) murdered and siezed the throne himself in 1183. A cruel and brutal tyrant the populace of Constantinople rose against him and he was killed by the mob in 1185.
Andronicus II Palaecologus 1282-1328
Andronicus III Palaecologus 1328-1341
Both of the above two Emperor's reigns were noted for the wars with the Turks, and in the latter case with the loss of the Empires Asiatic territories.
Andronicus IV Palaecologus 1376-1425
