Ansgar
St. Ansgar, (aka Ansharius or Ansgarius) Known as the Apostle of the North. Ansgar was born near Amiens.in 801 a.d .and spent much of his ealt church career as a missionary in Denmark and Sweden In 831 he was created Archbishop of Hamburg. In 847 his See was transferred to Bremen where he eventually died in 865 a.d. . His 'Life of St. Willibrord' is amongst the most famous of Angsars' works and essays.
