Bridget
Bridget (Brigid or Bride) (453-523) was a patron saint of Ireland. She was born at Fochart, Co. Louth. According to legend, her mother and she were sold to a wizard, whom Bridget converted to Christianity. Bridget founded the great church and monastic order of Kildare. Bridget's body was interred in Downpatrick with those of St. Patrick and St. Columba.
