Guy de Beauchamp (1272-1315)
Guy de Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick was an English nobleman.whose reputation was made during Edward I's campaigns in Scotland . He was born in 1272 in Elmley Castle, and married Alice de Toni (1284-1324), daughter of Raoul VII de Toeni, c. Feb 1309.
As an opponent of Edward II's unpopular favourite Piers Gaveston, Earl Guy became one of the lord ordainers in 1310, and was instrumental in the seizure and murder of Piers in 1312 (although he did not participate in the actual execution).
Earl Guy died on the 12 Aug 1315, at Warwick Castle, and was succeeded by his only son, Thomas (1314-1369)
