So begins the Introduction to Horace Mann's website "Medieval Medicine, Health and Hygiene".

Mann states: "Medicine and health care were perhaps the highest scientific achievement of the Muslims during the Middle Ages".  As such, he provides detailed information on the many achievements in medicine under noted Muslims.
