Giovanni Antonio Amadeo 1447-1522 was a famous Italian sculptor and architect. Born in Pavia he collaberated in the decoration of the Certosa at Pavia. He sculptured the magnificent Bartolommeo Colleoni in Bergasmo which is generally considered to be a masterpiece of renaissance sculpture. He also participated in the sculpture of the great octagonal dome of the cathedral in Milan
