Okay .... this ever so INaccurate series has done it again.

Not only do characters take on a life of their own - literally - but now another change to a well-known (not so well-loved) character - Henry VIII.

What is it I hear you ask - HENRY VIII WILL NOT GET FAT!!!!!

Yes, as Henry ages, the merry monarch will not get any more rotund. Apparently, a big, portly, ungainly, monarch is - and I quote - "not appealing". So out with the old fat Henry, in with the new young, slim and devilishly handsome Henry VIII - all for the sake of prime TV viewing.

Read more from The Telegraph.

Comments anyone - I can post no more as I refuse to watch this travesty....

I'm about to start watching this series. We'll see how far I make it. Good to know what I'm in for.

Thanks. I do rather like the costumes. Main guilty pleasure... Henry Cavill as Charles Brandon. He is nice to look at. Yum! :charge:

I actually think the execution of this series is done pretty well. I mean granted it's not very accurate, but really, what history based filming is? It's entertainment, and as such quite successful.
