Sung

Courteous and noble Aucassin
entered the room.
Reaching the bed,
at the place where they king lay,
he stopped in front of him
and spoke to him. Hear his words:
"Say! What are you doing here, fool?"
The king responded, "I am lying down; I just had a son.
When a month has passed,
and I am completely recovered,
then I will go hear mass,
as my ancestors did,
then I will with energy take up the huge war again
that I am waging against my enemies:
I won't neglect it."
